2008 Northbrook Cycle Committee and January News

The Northbrook Cycling Committee (NCC) has elected the 2008 Board of Directors.
Officers for 2008 are –

VP of Rider Development – Harold Berman
Government Relations Director – Mark Harris
Race Director – Manfred Ray
Communications Director – Mike Kirby
Public Relations Director – Kristin Arntzen
Treasurer – Mark Suri
Secretary – Jim Weaver

Be sure to visit www.northbrookvelodrome.org for the 2008 race calendar. The 2008 race season kicks off Thursday, May 15th and commences on September 11th, this last evening will have some special events in honor of Patriot Day. The season end B-B-Q is scheduled for September 4th. Also, be sure to check the NEW Calendar Link on our website for Training Nights which start April 29th. The calendar has been filled out for the entire years worth of Velodrome activities.

Also, the next NCC meeting will be February 21st at 7pm in the Village Green. By attending you can get your great ideas heard by the new board – any maybe some of them will get implemented!

Lastly, there will be a Northbrook Velodrome Team for the Tour de Farms that will take place June 21st and 22nd for Multiple Sclerosis. To be a part of the team (either as a rider or gift giver) go to www.RideForMS.org and choose to register to ride or donate funds on behalf of the Northbrook Velodrome Team.
